The Location
Nestled in high meadows just below the tallest peak in the West Virginia mountains, the Experience Learning campus on Spruce Knob holds a special place in our lives and hearts as well as the natural landscape of our home.
Built by Luke's parents along with their friends and family members in 1973, the yurts at Experience Learning are a unique and deeply symbolic piece of architecture.
For over half a century, loved ones have poured their care and shared time and life into this place, and we are honored to add the celebration of our union to the store of precious human experiences held in the memory of this place.
R.S.V.P. by August 4th is graciously requested.

The Festivities
If you know us, you won't be surprised that we don't intend to have a particularly 'normal' wedding day.
Our deepest desire is to have the day be an opportunity to gather our friends and loved ones together for cheer, celebration, and (of course) delicious things. We hope that the notes here help prepare you to enjoy the day with us to the fullest!

After a private gathering with immediate family earlier in the day, the bride and groom will be arriving and the ceremony will commence just after 3:00.

Due to the nature of the venue, we anticipate a rather diffuse arrival process for many. Please feel free to arrive prior to 3:00, relax and enjoy the beautiful property and the afternoon as early as 2:00.

The driveway to the venue is a very rocky one. Please choose to arrive in a vehicle with good clearance if possible, and if your vehicle is low to the ground be mindful and go slow!

For those coming in from points North and West, Randolph County where our hotel block accomodations are located is also home to many beautiful and enjoyable amenities.

Our wedding isn't the only big party happening this weekend! The 56th Treasure Mountain Festival will be happening in the town of Franklin from Thursday through Sunday.
